Since I’ve spent all of my money (and then some…) on my camera, I’ve been searching for an alternative to buying an expensive camera dolly. After spending a few hours reverse-engineering and compiling the most expensive/classy designs on the net, I created an extremely efficient, smooth, lightweight, and cost-effective model. Depressingly, nobody sells the steel or aluminum I need to build it, locally at least.
I need a dolly for a shoot this weekend, so buying online isn’t an option. Since I couldn’t buy parts, I thought to build a prototype out of the next best thing, K’nex.
